This stunning winery for sale is located in Certaldo, just 40 km from Florence and Siena, and about 10 km from San Gimignano, with direct access to major roadways, a key advantage for transporting products. We are situated in the prestigious Chianti region, where the owning family has been producing wine since the 1600s. The primary grape variety cultivated is Sangiovese, along with plots of Alicante, Montepulciano, and Petit Verdot. The estate is divided into two distinct units: the legal headquarters, which houses the historic winemaking cellar and the bottling and shipping facility.
Additionally, construction is underway for a new 605 sqm winery in the municipality of Montespertoli, as per the approved regional project, which will further enhance productivity. The vineyards are located at an elevation ranging from 200 to 350 meters above sea level. The estate directly transforms its grapes into various types of wine, which is sold almost exclusively in bottles. The wine sector is the primary contributor to the estate's gross sales, as the company has undertaken a complete renewal of old vineyards in the last 4-5 years, expanding the vineyard area by acquiring replanting rights for already planted and productive vines.
The produced wines are typical of Tuscany, including Chianti and Chianti Riserva, as well as red and white wines from Tuscany, and a prestigious red like Supertuscan and Ice wines that can be consumed chilled. Many of the wines are featured in prestigious Italian and international guides, receiving excellent ratings. The company is export-oriented (80%) and is capable of bottling over one million bottles annually. The annual production stands at around 150,000 units.
